Kitzbühel is a medieval city in Tyrol, Austria, situated along the river Kitzbühler Ache. ItΆs one of Austrias best known and fanciest winter sports resorts, situated between the mountains Hahnenkamm (1712 m, 5616 ft.) and Kitzbühler Horn (1996 m, 6548 ft.).
The Hahnenkamm is home of the annual world cup ski races, including the circuits most important event, the downhill race on the famous Streif slope. In summer Kitzbühel also hosts the Austrian Tennis Open. A further sight not to be missed is the 3S Arial Tramway with the highest span in the world. Total lenght is 3642m and from the valley to the support pillar is 2507 meters.
