Abu Dhabi, better known for its sleek skyscrapers and luxury hotels, is now also the home of the world’s tallest skyscraper and the most popular entry point for most travelers. The premier nightclub is the swanky Kaz Bar at the Royal Mirage hotel; many other clubs throughout the city cater to almost every need. The most popular bars for tourists tend to be in hotels due to restrictions on the sale of alcohol.
Many locals spend their evenings relaxing with a Shisha pipe full of apple tobacco and an Arabic coffee in one of the small smoke bars around the city. These are welcoming, and offer modern facilities to visitors.
