An inland town in the south of Mallorca, Santanyi Village is mostly built from the same honey-coloured sandstone that was used on Palma Cathedral. This formerly fortified town still has remains of its old defences in the form of walls and old town gates. Dominating the town is the 18th century church of Sant Andreu. On the coast is the picturesque bay Cala Santanyi, and the pretty fishing harbour Cala Figuera.
