Adelaide is the capital of South Australia and is a civilised and calm city. About one million Australians call it home. It is divided into two parts, Adelaide and North Adelaide, separated by the Torrens River. A diverse range of landscapes surround the city, including green parkland, coastal beaches and also the Mount Lofty Mountain Ranges.
Adelaides city center is made up of a grid of streets and various town squares. Being only one square mile makes it extremely accessible. The King William Street, the main street, runs directly from north to south of the city through Victoria Square, which is at the heart of the city.
Finding somewhere to stay in Adelaide is very easy. You have a choice between plenty of Hostels, apartments, motels, hotels and several bed and breakfasts.
Tours are a must do. There are several to choose from like river cruises on the Torrens or Murray rivers, a winery tour in the famous Barossa Valley and organised city tours, to name but a few.
